Alawneh Exchange Partners With Waqtak to Take the Wait Out of the Branch Visit

Appointment Scheduling September 20, 2026 · Alaa Yousef · 2 min read

Waqtak and Alawneh Exchange have partnered to bring digital queue and appointment services to Alawneh’s customers across the company’s entire branch network in Jordan. Customers will be able to book a visit remotely and take their place in the queue from their phone, which removes the need to stand in line waiting for a turn.

Alawneh Exchange has operated in Jordan since 1966 and runs more than 50 branches across the Kingdom, from Amman and Irbid to Aqaba, Ma’an and Ajloun. And Waqtak is now available in all of them.

What Changes for Customers

Alawneh customers can book a service appointment in advance, or join a branch queue from their phone before leaving the house, and follow their position as it moves.

The walk-in journey stays exactly as it is for anyone who prefers it. What is added is the option to spend the wait somewhere other than standing in a branch.

What Changes for the Operation

Waqtak gives Alawneh’s operations team a live view across the network: wait times, service times, counter utilisation and completed transactions, branch by branch, as they happen rather than in the following month’s summary.

A branch going long on wait times raises an alert in the hour it happens, not in a report that arrives after the queue has dissolved. Branches are measured on the same basis, which turns an impression about how a location is performing into a figure that can be checked, staffed against, and revisited.
